My name is Isabella Miel Idos Hazelton. I am an international competitive figure skater representing the Philippines, proudly living and training right here in Edmonton. To me, figure skating is more than a sport; it's how I express myself when words fail me.

Built on Raw Athletic Grit ⚡

Everything I have achieved so far has been done on a fraction of the training volume of my international peers. While my international competitors benefit from optimal daily training hours and fully integrated support teams, my on-ice hours, off-ice strength training, and preventative care (like physiotherapy) have been kept to an absolute minimum.

Despite these limitations, raw grit has pushed me through every obstacle. I have landed a triple salchow/triple toe loop combination in training, mastered multiple triple jumps, won the 2024 Philippine National Junior Championship, and maintained the highest international score for Philippine junior women in the 2025-2026 season. With a support load that matches my international peers, I am ready to be a true global contender.

A Pathway of Historic Firsts 🏔️

My long-term sights are locked onto the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps. By earning my place on that ice, I aim to achieve a series of historic milestones:

• The First Filipina Figure Skater to compete at the Winter Olympics.
• The First Female Southeast Asian Figure Skater to compete at the Winter Olympics.
• The Second Filipina Winter Olympian, continuing the historic path blazed by alpine skier Tallulah Proulx at the 2026 Games.
• The Second Filipino Figure Skater in history to represent the nation, following trailblazer Michael Christian Martinez.

The Immediate Mission: Junior Worlds 🇧🇬

For the current 2026-2027 competitive season, my primary focus is qualifying for the ISU Junior World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria this February.

Competing at Junior Worlds is more than a personal dream. Achieving this milestone directly increases the entry quota for the Philippines in the 2027 ISU Junior Grand Prix; opening up crucial international competitive pathways for the young, rising junior athletes skating right behind me.
